That was the summery autumn event of 2019

On 24th October, the FernFH Alumni Network presented the autumn event 2019, with over 100 guests celebrating together on the FernFH Campus in Wiener Neustadt. Highlights of the evening: Presentation of the "Teaching Awards for Excellent Distance Learning 2019" and the new work area of the FernFH employees.

With summery temperatures in October, the Alumni Network and the Ferdinand Porsche FernFH invited to the annual autumn event at the Ferdinand Porsche Ring 3 on 24th October. More than 100 graduates, lecturers, students, cooperation partners and FernFH employees followed the invitation and used the opportunity to meet colleagues, acquaintances and friends and to make new contacts.

Besides short welcoming words by the Alumni Network and Axel Jungwirth, CEO of FernFH, the Teaching Award for Excellent Distance Learning 2019 was the highlight of the evening. This prize for high-quality and innovative courses was awarded for the third time in 2019. This year there were so many outstanding submissions that the first place was awarded twice:

  • Communicate and negotiate successfully
Manuela Rosenzopf-Dietl and Brigitte Wiesner Kulovits

as well as

  • Organization and management in change
    Anahid Aghamanoukjan

2nd place:

  • Basics of the evaluation
    Gunter Maier

3rd place:

  • Online and offline sales strategies
    Werner Aschenbrenner

You can find more about the Teaching Award 2019 and the videos of the winners in the news article on the Teaching Award 2019.

After the award ceremony the guests had the opportunity to have a look at the new work area of the FernFH employees. Only recently moved into, this new area offers different communication zones such as a communication workspace, a silent office, Skype boxes etc. Here flexible working is made possible.

With lounge music, a delicious flying dinner and nice, interesting conversations the guests spent a convivial evening.

Until next year, maybe the October event will be called “summer party”, depending on the weather... We'll be surprised. :-)
