FERNFH at the Female Tech Summit in Linz

The Ferdinand Porsche FERNFH was represented at the Female Tech Summit in Linz on June 11, 2026. With an information booth highlighting the university’s degree programs and a presentation by Daniela Wolf, Bakk. MSc MA MA, the FERNFH actively participated in the discussion on diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity in IT and technology.

The Female Tech Summit brought together experts from the fields of science, education, IT, and technology to discuss current developments related to diversity, equal opportunity, and the future of technical professions. The event serves as an important platform for raising the visibility of women in technical fields, strengthening networks, and fostering collaboration between educational institutions, companies, and professionals.

For the Ferdinand Porsche FERNFH, the Summit provided an opportunity to engage with prospective students and offer insights into the university’s flexible study programs. At the booth, visitors learned about study options and the benefits of part-time distance learning. At the same time, current topics in research and teaching were presented, and valuable discussions were held with interested parties—ranging from up-and-coming talent to career changers and experts.

Daniela Wolf’s presentation also addressed these topics. In her talk titled “The Hidden Power of Words in Tech Education,” the research assistant at the Institute for Information Technology and Business Informatics discussed the influence of language on perceptions of technical degree programs and the importance of inclusive communication in higher education.
