Status of Compliance with Requirements
Due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions, this website is partially compliant with Conformity Level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.”
Content That Is Not Accessible
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
a. Incompatibility with accessibility regulations
Text and background colors derived from corporate identity guidelines only partially meet the required color contrast. We aim to increase color contrast as much as possible during the next website relaunch.
The PDF and Office documents provided are only partially accessible. Improvements are planned through standardized document creation and targeted staff training.
Some web pages contain links with identical anchor text that lead to different destinations. We plan to revise the anchor text in the content of the affected web pages so that new and updated pages meet this success criterion.
Some non-decorative images in content published before September 23, 2019, are missing alternative text, making this information inaccessible to screen reader users. This means that WCAG Success Criterion 1.1.1 (Non-Text Content) is not met. We are working to add alternative text to all non-decorative images so that our pages meet this success criterion.
b. Disproportionate burden
Most of our videos are hosted and published on YouTube and Vimeo. It is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions for some of these videos. As a result, WCAG Success Criterion 1.2.5 (Recorded Audio Description) is not met. We believe that rectifying this would constitute a disproportionate burden under the accessibility regulations.
We plan to provide suitable alternatives for new content, provided that this does not impose a disproportionate burden. For older content that is no longer updated, an alternative will be provided only as needed.
Some videos are missing captions, so the spoken content is not accessible to deaf users. This means that WCAG Success Criterion 1.2.2 (Captions Recorded) is not met. New videos will be provided with captions before they are published.
c. The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable laws
Text alternatives for video and audio media published before September 23, 2020.
Live, time-based media such as video and audio media. Online maps and mapping services, provided that, in the case of maps used for navigation purposes, essential information is made available digitally in an accessible format.
Third-party content that is beyond the control of Ferdinand Porsche FERNFH is exempt from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. No statement can be made regarding the compliance of this content with accessibility requirements.
Preparation of This Accessibility Statement
This statement was prepared on September 22, 2020.
The website is checked for compliance with the WCAG 2.1 guidelines through self-assessments conducted by Ferdinand Porsche FERNFH and, if necessary, in collaboration with external experts. The content of several selected pages (the home page, a degree program page, a course page, a news page, an events page, the search function, the search results, and a page containing various content types such as text, images, and video) is reviewed as part of this process.
Feedback and Contact Information
The content on our website is continuously revised, improved, and expanded. Usability and accessibility are of great importance to us.

Enforcement Proceedings
If you are not satisfied with the responses you receive through the contact option listed above, you may file a complaint with the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). The FFG accepts complaints electronically via the contact form.
www.ffg.at/form/kontaktformular-beschwerdestelle
The FFG reviews these complaints to determine whether they relate to violations of the provisions of the Web Accessibility Act—in particular, failures to comply with accessibility requirements—by the federal government or an institution under its jurisdiction.
If the complaint is justified, the FFG must issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the relevant legal entities and propose measures designed to remedy the existing deficiencies.
