Lars Uhlig holds a Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology and conducts research and teaches at the Ferdinand Porsche FERNFH at the Institute for Economics and Psychology. He investigates how employees perceive their scope for action and opportunities for development, and what the consequences are when these are lacking. To this end, he examines challenging and hindering job demands, flexible work arrangements, “job lock,” periods of underchallenge and boredom, and the transition to retirement. In his teaching, he focuses on academic research and empirical methods in the social sciences. Previously, he was engaged in research and teaching at the University of Vienna and the Karl Landsteiner Private University in Krems.
