Prof. (FH) Dr. Birgit Teufer, BSc, BA, MA

Birgit Teufer has been director of theInstitute for Economics & Psychologyat Ferdinand Porsche FERNFH since October 2024. Until September 2024, she served as a research associate at the Institute for Economics & Psychology. Her research interests lie in the areas of (sustainable) consumer behavior, consumer perception, sustainable development, and “green” marketing.
As part of her doctoral studies at the University of Klagenfurt, she focused on collaborative consumption in consumer networks and similar social innovations, employing a variety of research methods.
Birgit Teufer previously worked for several years as a research assistant at the University for Continuing Education Krems and the IMC Krems, where she contributed to both national and international research projects focusing on health promotion, collaboration and cooperation (e.g., open innovation, community-based initiatives), and sustainable marketing. Since 2016, she has regularly taught at several Austrian universities in the areas of research methods, business psychology, and marketing.
