As a bridge between the university and students, the Student Council is open to your concerns, critical in its thinking, and constructive in its actions.
Tasks
As a student representative body, we are active in various areas and bring the students' perspective to the table. These include, among others:
- Participation in university committees (e.g., faculty meetings, program conferences)
- Support for questions or concerns related to your studies
- Participation in the further development of academic conditions
- Highlighting Student Interests at FERNFH
Your concerns matter: The Student Council advocates for your perspective—in a straightforward, direct, and committed way. In addition, together with internal and external partners, such as the FERNFH alumni network, we offer activities and events for you. You’ll receive all the relevant information in a timely manner via the Online Campus.
MC Scholarship
Together with the alumni networkof the Ferdinand Porsche FERNFH, we—as the student council— award the MC Scholarship. It provides financial support to students and strengthens their individual professional development.
Current Student Government
The student council consists of elected students who advocate on behalf of all FERNFH students. In addition, there are program-level and class-level student councils.
You can find your current contacts in the Online Campus —usually in the “Class Info” section or under your degree program.

How to Choose Your Representative
The student council is re-elected every two years, in odd-numbered years. The program representatives (representing the individual degree programs) are also elected on this schedule, and elections are held at the federal level. The class representatives are re-elected annually.
Here's how you can get involved
If you’d like to get actively involved and help shape the student experience at FERNFH, feel free to contact your current student council at any time—we’re always happy to welcome new members! Even if you aren’t running for office, you can still participate in working groups or projects.
Contact
Do you have questions, ideas, or a specific concern? Contact your class representative or the student council directly via the online campus, or write to us at: studierendenvertretung@mail.fernfh.ac.at.
