First online bachelor examinations at the FernFH

FernFH reacts quickly to coronavirus crisis: For the first time, final examinations were held out via video conference.

"It all worked very well and everyone passed", says Tanja Adamcik, programme director of "BA in Aging Services Management“ at the Ferdinand Porsche FernFH. Yesterday, four students and two examiners experienced a premiere: The final examinations were held via video conference for the first time. The reason for this step is the current corona crisis. "We are here in the fortunate situation of being able to draw on our many years of experience in online teaching," says Axel Jungwirth, CEO of Ferdinand Porsche FernFH.

The students were infinitely grateful that they were able to take their exams on time, says Adamcik. The students, the two examiners and the examination chairman communicated with each other via an online conference tool. Necessary materials were placed in the virtual room so that all participants could see them. "We are very glad that we have always aimed everything to take into account all 'learning-obstructive' life circumstances that could interfere with studying", says Martin Staudinger, Head of Academic Board of Ferdinand Porsche FernFH. FernFH decided from current cause to change the entire teaching activities and examinations to online to end of this academic year.
